About Nana Plaza The entertainment at Nana Plaza is not family oriented. There are about 40 bars. Most are bars where girls dance on stage (pole dancing) in a bikini outfit. The purpose is for the girls to be 'bought' out for the night (or a few hours). You will have to pay a 'bar fine' to the bar, and make private financial arrangements with the girls separately. Alternatively, there are also a lot of outside beer bars where you can just sit and enjoy the scene. At night, till about 2 A.M. when everything is closed down, the place is packed with people. For health conscious visitors, please be advised that music sound levels are quite high. Smoking is disallowed in the bars though, since mid 2008. Visiting Nana Plaza is moderately expensive. Beer and other drinks are priced at 120-150 baht. The girls working there will 'hassle' you to buy drinks for them too, at about the same prices (though you'd better check, since a few bars charge more than 200 baht for lady drinks). |
